Biographical Sketch

Dr. Margaret (Maggie) Daniels has conducted extensive fieldwork in the areas of tourism planning and policy, park visitation and event management as pertaining to local economic development. She partners with agencies in the Washington DC metropolitan area to assist them with event and tourism implementation and evaluation. She has acted as the lead investigator on collaborative studies with the National Park Service regarding the National Mall and Memorial Parks and with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Dr. Daniels is a prolific researcher and has a combination of over 100 published papers, book chapters, professional presentations and technical reports to her credit.
