Rob Alexander is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at JMU where he teaches in the Masters of Public Administration program and coordinates the Environmental Studies minor. His research focuses on how local governments collaborate in community-based sustainability efforts. Rob is also Co-Director of the Institute for Constructive Advocacy and Dialogue at JMU (www.jmu.edu/icad) and is a member of Sustainable Shenandoah Valley, a collaboration between JMU, Eastern Mennonite University, Blue Ridge Community College, Bridgewater College, and Mary Baldwin University to provide campus expertise to those pursuing sustainability efforts in the Shenandoah Valley.
