The State, Tribal, Local, Plans & Grants Division of the National Park Service is now accepting applications for four grant programs through the Historic Preservation Fund:
- $14.5 million is available in funding for the 2019 African American Civil Rights (AACR) grant program,
- $8 million for the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) grant program,
- $13 million for the Save America’s Treasures (SAT) grant program, and
- $750,000 for the Underrepresented Communities (URC) grant program.
These competitive grants support a broad range of projects such as survey, documentation, interpretation, and physical preservation.

P20AS00005 – Save America’s Treasures – Preservation
Applications for the Save America’s Treasures grant program are due on December 10, 2019 by 11:59 PM Eastern.
P20AS00007 – Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Grant Program
Applications for the Historically Black Colleges and Universities grant program are due on February 4, 2020 by 11:59 PM Eastern.
